Welcome to the University of Oregon Sleep Lab (OSL).

The OSL is a research lab in the Department of Psychology and Center for Translational Neuroscience.  Our work is focused on the neuroaffective and biobehavioral mechanisms by which sleep contributes to mental health. We are especially interested in sleep habits that promote resilience to stressors during adolescence and young adulthood. We believe that studying the interactive effects of sleep and stressors on neurodevelopment will lead to better interventions for common and debilitating mental disorders such as depression, substance use disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
