Welcome to the University of Oregon Sleep Lab (OSL)!
The OSL is a research lab in the Department of Psychology. Our work is focused on the neural and affective mechanisms by which sleep contributes to mental health and ill-health. We are especially interested in sleep habits that promote emotional and social wellness during stress or trauma. We believe that studying the interactive effects of sleep and stress on neuroaffective development will lead to better interventions for common and debilitating mental disorders such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
